Question For Sardar Boys Who Complain About Women

Veerji, usually in such relationships one partner always tends to have a "heavier" personality if I may say. Its easy to say everything is equal but reality is different. Lets presume a Sikh man ends up marrying say a Catholic bibi. You and I will very much expect him to bring her to Sikhi. Now what if the reverse happens? What if her personality is "heavier" than his, and she has an impact on him causing him to quit being a Sikh? Unless and until he is a committed GurSikh (in which case he would have married a committed GurSikh Bibi), you have a 50-50 chance of her coming into Sikhi or him becoming a Christian. Thus the practice of a Sikh marrying only a Sikh, via arranged/love marriage. The worst part comes for the kids who don't know what to follow. Its easy to say "I will let my kids choose their path", but when the time comes, lol, trust me, most of us would think again :)

Just my 2 cents, and please correct me wherever I might be wrong.

Guess Veer ji ,

Do we only do Parchar when we feel romantically inclined to, what would our Gurus say"Spread Sikhi only so you can have your special romance" (I never heard of such a line in any Sakhi or Gurbani, where do you guys see that?) we should have more of "Basics Of Sikhi" approach for teaching Sikhi to humanity. If you guys have any advice on this please tell me.

Why do you guys have to restrict yourself to Punjabi women? .

Some of us come from very traditional families, so it is just not worth the beats to do this. Besides, people also have this hyper-construct of Singhs behaving perfectly, and going outside punjabi women, even going out of caste for some of us, can look like a guy that goes after women ie kanjar instead of someone genuinely looking for marriage and grihasta jeevan (Grihast, but autocorrect puts an "a" in the end so I'm going to use this spelling).

Anyway if Singhs do this, then just be ready to lay down the fact in front of relatives that sikh girls are disrespecting Singhs and turbans, so it was a logical choice. Better than cutting your hair just to marry a girl that calls herself sikh, right?
