Is it ok for us to do dissections as Amritdhari's? I'm in high school at the moment and I'm planning on going into science so I'll be seeing them a lot. Should I just stand to the side and watch or is it fine to take part?

In my opinion take part. I am amritdhari and I have performed my share of dissections.

As I understand the dissection subjects are killed therefore are just the deh for you to deal with ...so I don't see a problem, but if you hirda is telling you not to do it then listen to that feeling . Not everyone wants to be a doctor or biologist. What I would have major problems with is the type of living dissection that happens in Psychology degrees , my sis-in-law did operations on her living rat's brains , this is after she had spent months with that animal feeding and looking after it . Sorry but that level of detachment/cold-heartness says so much about the daya in the person,. Most dissections are unnecessary especially at high school level you can get then knowledge from watching the video of just One dissection carried out by a professional lecturer. It's so sad...
