Racist Rant On Sangat Tv!

I was quite shocked last night when I watched a programme called Derby Q & A on Sangat television. There were some really good points made by the panel and some of the speakers at Derby Gurdwara. Then with a couple of minutes to go a guy comes on with a white beard aged about 60 called bhai sucha.

He goes on to compare so called lower caste people to toilet water and then says ' do you drink water from the toilet or the tap? why do you drink it from the tap? if they start improving their qualities then people will start liking them!!' I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He ruined all the good points Joga Singh had made before him.

It is 2014 for Gods sake and we are still letting guys like this on Gurdwara stages!!! Even the BNP have toned down their language compared to this fascist!! Sangat Tv need to explain who this Singh was speaking on behalf of because he doesn't represent the views of the Gursikhs I have met. Some people have said he was representing AKJ who had a samagam after, whilst others are saying he is a pardhan from Kempston Gurdwara. Either way shame on him for disgracing Sikhi live on tv all over the U.K & Europe! He should apologise on air and explain they are his own views and not that of Sikhs, Gurudwaras, Sangat TV, the AKJ or whoever.

Shame on him but he is not the only one. This plaque of caste system has been deeply rooted in many Sikh families.Many Amritdhari Sikhs are katar believers of caste

I am really depressed about this "caste issue".. As I take two steps ahead to be a complete sikh, I get such news of lower backward thinkers who claim themselves as Higher than others.. Instead of taking two steps ahead to sikhi I go back thousands of steps everytime. :no:

I mean what the f*ck these sikhs always cry for they are different from Hindus? Indeed I don't see anything that is different than hindus... even on this forum I have seen people favoring castes/castenames.

For a God sake please be open minded share the religion with others what you have...don't be selfish. ..otherwise don't hope for its existence in future.

Worst thing was:

The head of the Sikh Council, the Punjab Times owner, the head of the AKJ, the management of Derby Gurdwara and numerous other leaders shared the Derby Gurdwara stage with this guy and were there when it happened and not one of them spoke up or asked him to stop!!!!! Sad day for Sikhism, it will be interesting to see if they condemn his language, ban him from future stage time or distance themselves from his views in the coming days. If they don't I think they will bring further shame on themselves and their groups.

Unfortunately, there is never much of a reaction by sangat on issues like this, as many people still believe in their caste. In the whole gurdwara, nobody had the Akhal to stop this person!? There can be only one explanation to the reason why, because I'm sure I for one would of raised my complaint against this beadbi if I was in the sangat. Maybe we should voice our complaints via the channel and show our condemnation?

Yep I agree, however they tarnish such a large number of people not just people within Ravidassia. So many people have gave shaheedi for sikhi and you still get caste supremacists like this individual on a stage albeit in our gurus darbar, pappi! Shame on him.

NOTHING is going to happen until we completely disown caste (no caste based marriages / no surnames/ no asking surnames / judging others based on their lineage )
