Does Karma Move To Your Children?

Recommended Posts

No, Karma itself doesn't transfer to children or close ones.

But it's a little more complicated, since we are in the world of Dualities.

Any bad or good actions end up leaving imprints on one's aura energies. These negative energies especially, can get passed onto the children and 'Influence' their actions in similar ways !

For eg, parents that are alcoholics, heavy drug users, money swindlers..etc... end up leaving these negative energies around and they can latch onto the kids. Again, it also depends if the kid's have low vibrating aura energies or 'holes' as they call them. If they do, then they will absorb and be influenced by the negativities but if the kid has strong full vibrating aura, then he/she won't be affected at all.

Imagine if a father was a bad boy, wife beating, alcoholic but the kid was a pure full vibrating sikh.- This strong energy kid would not be affected.

My wife and I were discussing this the other day and would like the Sangats views please. If a parent does bad Karma or owes someone money and dies still owing that money for example, would that Karam move to the child? I have heard that this will move to the child, but then I though of simple logic of its not the childs karma its the parents, and for example if you commit a murder, you go to jail not your child.

This make sense?

Khalsa Ji,

If one deliberately attempts to defraud someone, then the immoral earnings used to bring up the family, can have very bad effects, as per:

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਣ ਕੈਲੀ ਘਾਤੁ ਕੰਞਕਾ ਅਣਚਾਰੀ ਕਾ ਧਾਨੁ

Barahmaṇ kailī gẖāṯ kañkā aṇcẖārī kā ḏẖān.

ਫਿਟਕ ਫਿਟਕਾ ਕੋੜੁ ਬਦੀਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ

Fitak fitkā koṛ baḏī▫ā saḏā saḏā abẖimān.

Living off immoral earnings will affect whosoever consumes the same.....

So if a child lives of his parents immoral earnings, without the knowledge of it being immoral, then will they still get paap?

Yes, the child will still acquire the paap; if a child consumes poison, without realising that it was poison, the child will still be affected. Immoral earnings are zehar {poison}; any man, woman, or child who consumes it, will suffer....

Waheguru....
