I just need some guidance please.

I'm a manmukh Sikh. I do Simran etc often though (every day).

Lately I kept having dreams with the Hindu Goddess Durga in them. I spoke to my Hindu friend about it and she said it usually means its warning you of something to do with fertility or death...she was correct...I found out a few weeks later.

Now I'm having dreams with her again and I feel my attention going to her ... even though I still do Simran and turn to our Gurus all the time (many times throughout the day).

But I cant get her out of my mind. Whats going on?!

I feel like I need to start incoporating her when im doing my ardas/simran everyday.

Is this bad? What should I do? I'm not into Hinduism at all so this is confusing me! There is no way I would turn my back to Sikhi as I hope to become a Guru's Sikh one day.

go to kamayee vale panj pyare and explain the situation. remember what guru sahib says in jaap sahib: vaheguroo is devaan dev. I would also suggest reading lots of chandi di vaar, ugardanti and other dasam bani mentioning durga, this will channel your admiration of Durga in a more Gurmat way (appreciating her qualities as a warrior and heroic person), as opposed to a worshipping way. While Hindus worship durga, sikhs are on a higher level, durga is actually like on the level of a friend to gursikhs, infact she herself does namaskar to true gursikhs let alone being a servant of pooran Gurdev Satguroo Gobind Singh Jee Maharaj!

Make sure your rehat, nitnem and baam abhiyaas is where it should be. Just think that if Durga is so great how great must the one who made her be!

Thanks for all your comments.

I didnt realise that Durga was on a friend level with Guru Gobind Singh Ji. I knew she had been mentioned in the Dasam Grath but I guess I dont really have an understanding of it.

Is there a book/article explaining the Dasam Granth in English? I feel the need to know more about herbut i'd rather do it from a Sikhi point of view.
