ਬਰਨਾਲਾ, 14 ਦਸੰਬਰ (ਜਗਸੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ) : ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਕੱਬਡੀ ਕੱਪ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਸਟੇਜ ਉਪਰ ਚੜਕੇ ਨਜਰਬੰਦ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਮਰਨ ਵਰਤ ‘ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪੁਹੰਚਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੱਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਗਲਤ ਰੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿਰਫਿਰੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੰਗ ਪਾਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਬਰਾਂ ਨਸ਼ਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਰਾਸਰ ਗਲਤ ਹਨ। ਬਾਦਲ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਾਅਰੇਬਾਜੀ ਕਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਰਫਿਰਿਆ, ਕੋਈ ਖਰੂਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਸਰਾਬੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਜੇਹਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਜਰਬੰਦ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਭੁੱਖ ਹੜਤਾਲ ‘ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਗੂੰਗੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਬਣੀ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪੁਹੰਚਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੁਰੀ ਵਾਸੀ ਕਿਲਾ ਹਾਂਸ ਜ੍ਰਿਲਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਬਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੋਰਾਨ ਸਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਚੁਕੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ.ਕਿ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਤਾਂ ਨਰਜਬੰਦ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਮਰਨ ਵਰਤ ‘ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਤੇ ਖੜਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਦਲ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੱਡੀ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉੂਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਸਰਾਬੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਟੇਜ ‘ਤੇ ਚੜ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਕਿ ਸੱਚ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਜਾਗ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੜੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੈ। ਮੀਰੀ ਪੀਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਗੁਰਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਨੌਲਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਵਾਮ ਦਾ ਫਰਜ਼ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਲੇਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਟਾਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਜਾ ਖੜੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਇਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਲਝਾ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ।

Tight security arrangements in place

Ludhiana, December 13
The police have beefed up security arrangements in and around the city in view of the closing ceremony of the fourth edition of World Cup Kabaddi, scheduled to held tomorrow. As many as 4,000 security men have been deputed for the security arrangements, including those from companies and paramilitary forces.

Chief guest Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Pakistan Punjab, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to India and a 30-member delegation from Pakistan will visit several venues, including the Punjab Agricultural University campus, Hambran Road, Sarabha Nagar and Guru Nanak Stadium in the city. Commissioner of Police Nirmal Singh Dhillon visited the venues and took stock of the security arrangements.

Sukhpal Singh Brar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, said, "All security arrangements have been done. Apart from the 4000 security men, anti-riots teams will be ready for instant action during the closing ceremony and the visit of the chief guest."

The Ludhiana police will present a guard of honour to the chief guest. Police personnel rehearsed for the guard of honour on the PAU campus. The police are keeping a vigil on every activity near the venues. A large number of security personnel have been deputed at Guru Nanak stadium and the other venues.

What the Police Commissioner says

Commissioner of Police Nirmal Singh Dhillon said, "We have made foolproof arrangements for tomorrow's event. We have made three-tire security arrangements this time. Police personnel have been deputed in outer areas of the city and checkpoints have been set up to seal the inner city. There are tight security arrangements at Guru Nanak Stadium."
