Nitnem Steek Damdami Taksal - Christians Believe The World Created In 7 Days

Recommended Posts

To a Sikh, it doesn't matter whether the world was created in 7 days or if it is evolving from millions of years. What matters is the PURPOSE and gurbani tells us that it has been created and destroyed endless times.

From what i remember from the white-mans schooling, it was made in 6, with God resting on the 7th day and then on the 8th day, man or Adam was created. -So it took 8 days until man was first on earth !

The nitnem tuk you are referring to, says exactly ''what you are doing!'' ??

It is pointing to the scholars, learned and pandits who debate about how long it took, when it was created, what day, month, year...etc..

The message is that we can all better each other in our debates and references, but ONLY HE KNOWS .........

ਜਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਿਰਠੀ ਕਉ ਸਾਜੇ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣੈ ਸੋਈ

Jā karṯā sirṯẖī ka▫o sāje āpe jāṇai so▫ī.
The Creator who created this creation-only He Himself knows.

Indeed it doesn't matter for a Sikh, how the creator created the world. It's all in his hukam and will.

But I am just confused about the phrase, because if we refere to some other religions it should be correct. That's why I thought on which base Bhai Sahib ji was refering to this.

I have a question about the Nitnem Steek from Damdami Taksal.

It's written in the Steek that the in Christian believe it's written that the world is created in 7 days and on 8. day he did rest.

But as far as I got told Christian believe that the world was created in 6 days and on the 7th days he did rest.

Whats the sangats vichaar on that?

The Steek is created by Bhai Avtaar Singh ji Badni Kala vale.

(No Nindiya against Taksal or Bhai Avtaar Singh ji, just wanted to know on which base they say it)

Bhul Chuk maaf karne.

I think the simple answer is Giani Ji or the printers made a mistake. Also I noticed when ever any Giani does a katha and metions anything about Christianity or Judaism. I find that the story is never metioned in the Bible of the Christians or Jews, but it is metioned in Islamic sources. I think what the Gianis do is read Islamic books on Judaism and Christianity and get all there information from them instead of the Bible.

I found this on a website where it metions 8 days to create the world in the Quran.

2 Say: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in TWO Days

And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds.

+

He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it,

and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measured therein all things

4 to give them nourishment in due proportion, in FOUR Days

in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance).

Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky,

and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth:

"Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly."

They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience."

+

2 So He completed them as seven firmaments in TWO Days,

and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command.

And We adorned the lower heaven with lights,

and (provided it) with guard.

Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.

-- Sura 41:9-12 (Yusuf Ali)

= 8 altogether these are EIGHT Days.

Maybe simply it was a mistake.

I dont know if my theory is right so forgive me
