you don't have to get pesh. but i recommend that you write down everything you eat during the day. you may find that on days you eat junk food/ acidic food/ sugary stuff/cha/coffee that on that day and the next kaam is way worse. when it attacks you too much stop eating, maybe switch to just fruits and water. channel that energy into school, working out, art, naam japp - keep yourself busy. go hang out with clean minded people. take some classes on sikhi at your local gurmat prachar centre.

Guest advice

I think the main problem is doing pesh without first getting a control of the problem (this applies to any dhill in rehit, paap/addiction). Best thing is to change first then ask for forgiveness, instead of going through the cycle of pesh and repesh without changing your inner state.

Being idle and lazy can lead to addiction problems, so try to be active in all areas of life.

Take your time, getting a control on any of the panj chor isn't easy, especially once you have been infected with that spiritual poison. Accept the fact that it will take much time and effort in bhagti then you might start making progress in small steps eventually leading to total control of the vices. Remember this applies to all spiritual/sikhi related problems.

The cure is plently of simran, bani, sangat and seva. But remember to increase this in small steps or you will fall quickly again and again and go into depression. Whatever small increase you do (simran, bani, sangat or seva) remember this should be such an increase that you continue to keep up with this daily for the rest of your life. Small increases lead to massive changes and bhagti in long term.
