I'm having trouble pronouncing some gurmukhi letters, I have jus started going to santhiya about 3 weeks ago but I'm practising at home bit still getting it wrong. I'm fine on most of them apart from the last 1 which is rara , I was told it sounds like a d in English but I can't seem to do it, also I struggle on differing the sound between tutta and thutta , can somebody please tell me how you pronounce it, where do you place your tongue when saying it, behind teeth, top of mouth etc. thank you

Rarra ( ੜ ) is a common one people struggle with and often say ਰ instead.

ਰ - When you say this one you tongue is at the front of your mouth.

ੜ - When you say this, your tongue needs to go to the top of your mouth towards the back and flick towards the front.

Hope that helps,

Excellent tip. Really can't make it any clearer than the above.
