A Very Early Account of the Sikhs by Major Browne

That book seems to be all over the shop. On pg135 it says Guru Tegh Bahadhur Ji was the son of Guru Har Krishan Ji!?!

Ya this book has many mistakes also see page 118 it was written in 1788 when there was not alot of information on Sikhs. Its good to save these historical accounts and records. Waheguru.

This books are valuable from the point of time in history when they were written. They are poor in terms of previous history, in the times of the Guru's and Baba Banda Bahadur. They usually parrot what the moghals or hindus had written, as the Sikh sources were scarce.

But leaving that aside they are still worth reading.
