Pakhandi "Baba" Narayan Bhajan. Ultimate Beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Shaib Ji Maharaj..

Shikarpur in Sindh has a large population of these Hindus who also claim to be 'Sikhs.' This blatant beadbi needs to be checked by the Pakistani Sikhs, but I doubt they would have the same freedom to investigate and administer correction, unlike the Jathas we have in the Indian Punjab. The latter cannot do anything because visas will only be allowed for places like Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Hasan Abdal etc... How did the derawala pakhandi get a hold of Maharaj's Sarup in the first place? Imagine if he did this with the Qoran - they'd all be lynched overnight.

Brothers, please try to understand where these people are coming from before we vilify them. They are Udasi Sikhs and have a different emphasis on Gurmat than we do, so i would beg that rather than call anyone a pakhandi, we should reach out to them via parchar. As brothers. They have been doing this for centuries.

Now i dont know why they feel they need a swastika on Aad Guru Sahib, but if it has come to our attention, wouldnt the first step be to ask why they feel it is necessary, rather than start calling each other names?

Bro, I think the 'swastika' is an ancient Indian symbol signifying goodness, especially as its slightly different to the 20th century version we've come to know, i.e. there's 4 dots in each "quadrant" of the symbol. Hitler co-opted it for his own nefarious purposes. I was a kid the first time I saw this symbol used in a non-Nazi context, and I was rather shocked as well.

I dont think this dude realizes that he may be inadvertently doing beadhi, here is the picture speaks volume..i m sure someone politely shared the concerns of beadhi with him and look made a world difference.

We must ensure we must first use all the means in our disposal with education, with pen to share our sikh sentiments shares than picking up swords and asking for blood (saw some crazy post on facebook, asking for this guys head already)..oh come on now thats totally jumping the gun..this is where GOI takes advantage of us..i don't doubt for a minute those who are asking for his head already are questionable elements in our community..for any gov't/intelligence agency to infiltrate in the community - they need flaring emotions/fascism environment then viola slide themselves in it -easy walk in the park!, as it takes just another so called singh in garb of bana/dhara making rhetoric emotional speech and sheeps in big herd all follow- hail hail- jai jai the great bir rasiya panthic soorma and make us look like extremist..its very slippery slope with long term implications on our image which will make very difficult to spread sikhi parchar to masses...for most part we do lack any skills of diplomatic rajnti/dialogue, we need to keep capitalizing on diplomatic/education means to address beadhi, panthic issues before getting too worked up on the issues.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
