Can somebody only shak Amrit, if they do nitnem, or get up at amritvela, or tie a dastaar, (being female)? If one is unable to do nitnem, or get up at amritvela or tie the dastaar, can one still shak Amrit? sorry i dont know much, but i know some elders shak Amrit and not doin nitnem as such, because of reading problems, but what if somebody is physically unable to do what is required by rehat maryada would they not be able to shak Amrit?

Dastaar for female is not mandatory.

If for sake of health or your professional reasons you cannot wake up in amritvela it is not a problem, but you should do nitnem or sahaj paath daily, if cannot do paath because of health reason, atleast one can get audio of baani, play and recite with it.

You can take khandey di pahul/Amrit, Akaal purakh is always with you, don't think of this and that.

Can somebody be a good students if they don't do their homework, study for test?

2.
i know some elders shak Amrit and not doin nitnem .
Even I know elders who do that, but they will not go to God when they die. They have taken admission in the school, but stopped attending it. So they arent learning much.

3.
because of reading problems, but what if somebody is physically unable to do.
Unable to read? - listen to audio. Unable to hear? - read it.
It dosnt apply to all, but I came across an aunty who calls herself amritdhari. After I asked why she dosnt wear kakaars. She said - no keski, kirpan cuz they are heavy and she has backbone problem; no kara cuz she is too week and old; no kanga cuz dosn't have a place to put it. In my mind I just said HA! WHAT A JOKER, get out of my way!

But if there is a really good reason of not following rehet like... had an opperation, people still get pesh then!
And, oh Dastaar is important for girls (Many opinions ), but u cant meet god without it

U need dastaar to meet god, interesting fact, please explain.

I have had sangat with really high Gursikhs. They talk about Sachkhand and also say some of them can go to Sachkhand in Surti. They were talking about the kakaars and described how Guru Sahib first checks your kakaars when you go in.

Also, Bhai Surjit Singh from Toronto, a highly respected sikh also talked about this.

Guru Sahib knows more.

Sorry I do not want to turn this post into a battleground. I respect everybody's opinions

People who talks like this are not high gursikhs but confused sikhs.

Gurbani says "Karmi Karmi hoye vichaar" never read in gurbani "dress ka hoe vichaar".

You need to look into Guru Granth Sahib and then listen to anyone else.

Please prove this according to Gurmat.

Above quote says Guru Sahib checks the 5 K's and below one says another thing.

There is another video posted in a thread where Prof. Dhunda talks about a Baba ji had darshan of shaheed singhs they told baba ji that Guru Gobind Singh Sahib have given duty to take Amrithdahari gursikhs who dies, with them.

Which version we should believe.

All the Baba should sit together and should make a single thought of school so that people does not get confused.

And Manmukh like me does not ask a question

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
