the only thing you can do is learn about what the real message of the guru's is and try to educate your family

It's funny how some sikhs look down on lower castes yet when they matha tek to guru Granth Sahbi ji they also bow down to the Bhagat Ravidas bani and Bhagat Namdevs Bani - those who beleive in caste have not understood the basic message of the Gurus.

Hi there people, I have fallen in love with a lower caste girl in India. I am from the uk, I met this girl in same pend as me, she is a family friend, she is also a chemar caste and I'm jatt, will there be any problems is it possible? I know my parents won't agree with the whole thing but we deeply love each other and want to marry her. I just wondering how I should go about it? I have never felt like this about anyone and it is like kismat because its not like I just knew her for a couple of weeks or so I knew her for years back since I went to India last. I don't want to hurt her in anyway. The main problem is she is from the same pend as me but no blood relation, do they still disallow the marriage due to the fact she is from the same village?

In India I have seen many nri boys fall in love with a poor girl who was instructed by her parents to lure a boy in and take her to another contry...when she reaches that country she leaves the boy...
