ਉਤਰਿ ਗਇਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਸੰਸਾ ਜਬ ਤੇ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਅਨਬੋਲਤ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਨੀ ਅਪਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਇਆ ॥

ਦੁਖ ਨਾਠੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਏ ਅਨਦ ਅਨਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

ਬਾਹ ਪਕਰਿ ਕਢਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ॥

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟੇ ਬਿਛੁਰਤ ਆਨਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੫੧॥੭੪॥

ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਆਪੇ ਰਾਖੈ ਆਪੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ॥

Apune sevak kī āpe rākẖai āpe nām japāvai.

ਜਹ ਜਹ ਕਾਜ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਤਹਾ ਤਹਾ ਉਠਿ ਧਾਵੈ ॥੧॥

Jah jah kāj kiraṯ sevak kī ṯahā ṯahā uṯẖ ḏẖāvai. ||1||

ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਨਿਕਟੀ ਹੋਇ ਦਿਖਾਵੈ ॥

Sevak ka▫o niktī ho▫e ḏikẖāvai.

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਹੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਤਤਕਾਲ ਹੋਇ ਆਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਆਪੇ ਰਾਖੈ ਆਪੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ॥

Apune sevak kī āpe rākẖai āpe nām japāvai.

He Himself preserves His servants; He causes them to chant His Name.

ਜਹ ਜਹ ਕਾਜ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਤਹਾ ਤਹਾ ਉਠਿ ਧਾਵੈ ॥੧॥

Jah jah kāj kiraṯ sevak kī ṯahā ṯahā uṯẖ ḏẖāvai. ||1||

Wherever the business and affairs of His servants are, there the Lord hurries to be. ||1||

ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਨਿਕਟੀ ਹੋਇ ਦਿਖਾਵੈ ॥

Sevak ka▫o niktī ho▫e ḏikẖāvai.

The Lord appears near at hand to His servant.

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਹੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਤਤਕਾਲ ਹੋਇ ਆਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Jo jo kahai ṯẖākur pėh sevak ṯaṯkāl ho▫e āvai. ||1|| rahā▫o.

Whatever the servant asks of his Lord and Master, immediately comes to pass. ||1||Pause||

ਤਿਸੁ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੈ ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜੋ ਅਪਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ॥

Ŧis sevak kai ha▫o balihārī jo apne parabẖ bẖāvai.

I am a sacrifice to that servant, who is pleasing to his God.

ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸੋਇ ਸੁਣੀ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਰਸਣਿ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥੭॥੧੨੯॥

Hearing of his glory, the mind is rejuvenated; Nanak comes to touch his feet. ||2||7||129||

How will you translate ਜਪ੍ਹਉ, we have gurmanat Waheguru.

The first line is like saying that he will make you do the jaap and meditate on his name ?

This is like saying that you don't need to make an effort, the lord will take care of it !!

It's a bit confusing if taken literally, OR is it a deeper message for HUKAM ?

The word sewak brings happiness.. 'Aape' again about Guru Sahib.. that he takes CARE..
