Made a stupid mistake, now heavily regretting it.

Recommended Posts

Today I made a very heavy, easily avoidable and massively stupid error which will probably prove fatal to me. There is this girl at school who I want to be friends with. Shes smart and serious. I like her. Today a few individuals at school found out. By tomorrow probably she will know, but this thought just struck me; I am looking for a girlfriend when it's not allowed. What do I do? What do I say to her tomorrow and above all how do I repent in the Guru's eyes? Basically my peers managed to get this stupid thing out of me, I like her.

Do Ardas say your sorry, say no more about it, do Naam jaap, if the girl confronts you tell her the truth and that nothing more will be said and you are sorry.

and move on.

Your man is trying to take u away from Waheguru ji dont let it win and ignore it , tell it hai mana tu jyot saroop hai apna mool pehchan.

@ Gurpreet - Who said it was love? It could easily be lust. And what is love in this day and age? I think many people confuse what is actually a base, animal attraction to a person's external features as love --- I don't class that as love at all.

It feels like love. I don't have wet dreams about her or anything like that.

You have to ask yourselfthe question, are you happy with the feelings you have towards the other sex? The 5 demons are the reasons for lust, are you happy being moulded to follow these

sins, if you have convinced yourself Yes, then in a way you have picked your path, but from Guru jee's perspective lust is a no no

Lust is, is subjecting a certain view of what you view to be attractive, whether it be the way they look, their eyes there body frame and so on, so you are failing to see that

they are the Form of God. And indulging in any sin leads to humiliation in this life and the other, personally i find it heart breaking to see Sikhs with the

uniform of our Guru doing things which taint the Pureness of Sikhism, so when doing things remember one thing we are the ambassadors of our faith and what we

do reflects on our Gurus.

Sometimes maya and love can feel like one another. Ask yourself this: If she says something like "Oh, I don't like people who support Khalistan" or "I like to drink every now and then", will you still feel that love?

Getting into relationships can be distracting, IMO, it can focus your heart away from God. THOUGH if its the right person, another spiritually-oriented person, it can help you both get further along your journey to God

Its not the physical aspect but her mind, and who she is. U know if someone could sense her aura then it will be very warm.

She is probably aware of my strong political views, Khalistan etc but I am sure she will be interested in Sikhi. She just doesn't drive up the courage to ask.

I think shes one of those non-spiritual people who discover spirituality and than love it.

Don't think drink is on her to do list but will find out more.

Its just that I have never received such a warm signal, smacking of a religious-like purity from anyone else. If she was a Sikh I would say we would all instantly classify her as a Gurmukh, as per the agreeable attributes we all agree upon to define a Gursikh. I am very, very confused as to what to do.

If she is a non-sikh..... i must say.. its not easy... to make her follow sikhism ...........

Nowadays sikhs are not ready to be true sikhs... its almost impossible for a person having a non sikh background to be sikh ... until n unless.... there is some inner voice giving strength to that person to be sikh :)

Being khalsa is very tough not coz u need to keep hair... but u need to rise ur standard to be a khalsa in every aspect....

Dad...... u made ur children's life so tough.. chalo koi na.... "Teri raaza ch mai raazi... Teri Meherbani" :)

    • You are right in this respect, I guess I was referring to both the native Pakistanis and the diaspora. I have observed this internal debate between Pakistani Sunnis and Wahabis at close quarters, and honestly it turns into a p!ssing match. Who is the real Sunni and who is the fake - the traditionalists insist they are "real Sunnis", very sufi-centric and not overly fanatic, these people are usually die hard supporters of General Musharraf and defend the Laal Mosque incident with their lives. Here in the UK it goes beyond this, with both groups even refusing to pray Namaz behind eachothers Imams/Maulvis. The Deobandi/W@habi types obviously slam the others for following non-Islamic traditions, and they are gaining huge support. If I remember correctly the slogan is something like: Deoband Deoband, nirra gandh nirra gandh.   In many ways, it's not too different between the splits we have over ideology in Sikhi. Again this is probably more prevalent in the west. Probably. Kurban, Kurbani are both mentioned in Gurbani. We say it in the Ardas everyday: "Gurdwaraiyan di seva layi kurbaaniyan kityaan"
    • Well I live in Pakistan and i never came across someone wearing Jubba. But i can't speak for overseas Pakistanis.
    • CCTV camera has clear evidence for UK Sikh MPs to demand release to investigate closeup view. Jaggi mom in law said his passport was demanded prior to arrest as mine was for email to indian embassy, asking why they commit atrocities. $ is what causing blind justice to VERY OBVIOUS CRIMES by rss modi aka congress...$$$$ rules world better than virtues...but in God reign, NAAM LAHA RULES AND WILL OVERCOME ALL...SLOWLY BUT >>SURELY<<
