Sikh prisoner beaten to death in Pakistani jail

AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has sought slapping of murder charges against the officials of Kot Lakhpat jail, Pakistan, who 'are responsible for the death of an Indian prisoner Chamel Singh'.

Chamel Singh was mercilessly beaten up by the staff of Kot Lakhpat jail on January 15 following which he succumbed to his injuries.

Taking note of the incident SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar on Friday said that the staff of Kot Lakhpat jail had failed to maintain the dignity of human values and killed a person who was under their security.

"Instead of keeping him safe in jail, they killed him" he said.

The SGPC president also expressed grave concern over kidnapping of a Sikh businessman Ranbir Singh in Quaidabad in Peshawar. "Pakistan government should ensure safety of minority communities" Makkar said.

And why wasnt fuss made about our brother chamel singh?

Now Indians can burn the pakistani flag's and attack and kill Pakistani prisoners for killings of sarbjeet "raw indian agent" singh but if the pagal pakistani jail officials kill an ordinary Sikh guy no one bats an eye lid in the indian establishment or even our "own" highest Sikh institutions can anyone else see the disconnect here?

And why so many now know sarbjeet was indeed no shaheed but a govt dog who worked for Indian govt against Sikh interests. I believe bhutto was in charge of Pakistan then? And it was India's use of terrorism I believe against pakistan which forced her to stop supporting the Khalistan movement and hand over the list of names and individuals who were trying to liberate Khalistan from Indian establishments despotic grip

No, Bhutto betrayed the Sikhs out of her own selfish interests, she thought by doing so the Indian government would be very grateful to her.. And in the end karma got her back. She only betrayed the Sikhs, while she never withdrew support of the Kashmiri separatists.

Partly right about the kashmir support but wrong regarding just her selfish interests as it was the ISI that was the main force and brains behind supplying arms to Khalistani soldiers. I read a journalistic piece just today where former senior RAW agent admits that sarbjeet singh types were sent into pakistan to bomb the cities for ISI's support for Khalistan armed struggle in punjab and then the kashmir struggle. In the article he says that the thinking behind the RAW's agenda was that it would become expensive for Pakistan to support movements in India it was sort of a pay back for its involvement in India's affairs. Needless to say that these secret agents were used and discarded by the Indian governments that came and went and they didnt hellp support their families nor help get them released from pakistani jails still to this day you have ISI and RAW agents rotting in both countries jails and both govts deny they exist nor support their families.

Now it all makes sense to me how RAW agents bombed Air India in 1985 to give khalistan and sikhs a bad name in the world media, how the RAW agents infiltrated Separatist groups in punjab to kill the right hearted dharmic Sikh soldiers people while giving the movement a bad name using black cat indian terrorist criminals of alam sena, virk sena, kps gill regular police and paramilitary units.

..But in the end it shows that these agents get their just deserts in end... foresaken by their governments.... for their state terrorism sanctioned against foreign and domestic people.
