A part of me finds it very suspicious that such an important source first hand source on Baba Nanak's life has not been widely used or acknowledged by people studying Sikh history.

That is not to say that it is impossible for it to have been overlooked, but if it is what people are purporting it to be, it's one of the most important finds in Sikh history.
