Its best if you or your family as a whole Akhand Path your self.

Wat is a person going to achieve if they have someone else do the Akhand Path and not even be there to listen to Guru Ji.

Wat is ever gained? Nothing .

Its best (if you have Gian of reading Gurmukhi) to do the Akhand Path yourself and be able to grow spiritually from this.

waheguru ji i had an akandpaat sahib for my 18th in october

i didnt cost us that much beacuse if its a real busy gurdwara kind of thing it costs more! ...ours was just local so didnt cost loadz

you have to pay for electricity costts and stuff...so money goes to that

but it also goes to gyaaniis who do the paat

but a lot of it goes to the gurdwara as in all the electricity, gas and lights etc

but afterall still a charava to the gurdwara so its all good...but yeh shdnt really be that expensive! but hey i dunoo only guru ji knows

or instread of an akandpaat sahib you can do sukhmani sahib ji da paat and stuff instead...or just look at another gurdwara?

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

bhull chukk maaf

£650 for akand path.

How much would it cost it you did it at home ?

Electricity on all night for three days,

Gas for cooking all three days,

what about langar for all the people you invite ?

Tea and samosay?

What about payment for the giani/pathi? Are they not allowed money to put food on the table for their families?

It all adds up and probably more then £650.

Agreed, but the comitee should make it clear that you're not paying for gurbani, but the bills instead
