Hi,

I wanted to ask a question to the forum about their views of how animals body parts are being used in our daily lives.

I was made aware of this whilst watching a BBC documentary called 'KILL IT, EAT IT, USE IT'

For example,

PIG and COWskin is being used as leather,

COW,PIG, SHEEP bones used to make fine-bone china

PIG body parts used to replace failed human body parts

COW horns used to make buttons

Even some body parts are used for Soap

Animal rennet being used to test bullets for human impact

The list goes on.

SO my question is as SIKH'S what should we do about this, should we avoid the purchase of such items?

We are not allowed to kill animals right?

Secondly, I eat alot of BEANS for a source of protein, however alot of them include vinegar which is an extract of alcohol, so as sikhs do we avoid eating products that contain Vinegar?

Forgive me for being naive, but i am very confused about this, so i needed to ask you

thank you in advance and i apologise if i have made a mistake.

I think that there are too many things made of animals and we should all try to avoid these things otherwise we should just be good ! But i suppose it also good that nothing has to go on to waste you can see that not wasting is good to really
