The following sakhi is dedicated to Pyaare Veer Prabhjot Singh Ji and the other Gursikhs taking part in the Two Million Sri Mool Mantar Sahib Jaaps -

One time Baba Raam Kishan Ji Sevapanthi was sat on his knees at the charankamal of Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj with chenna (little bells) in his hands and tears in his eyes uttering, “Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji”.

Babaji had been doing this for the whole day. Finally towards the end of the day at about 23:30hrs some Sikhs came to where Babaji was sat and said, “What are you doing? Don’t you realise that it’s time for Sukhaasan?”

Babaji looked up at the sangat and humbly said, “Please forgive me, I was being greedy and only thinking of my Sukh”.

As soon as Babaji said this he bowed before Guru Sahib and began to recite Sri Sohila Sahib Ji before taking Maharaj to Sachkhand. As he was doing this Babaji began to cry and utter “Nahi Choro”.

Once Maharaj was placed on Sri Manji Sahib Babaji bowed before Guru Sahib and went to sleep on the floor continuing to say “Nahi Choro” again and again under his breath.

After about 30 minutes Babaji woke up and performed the Prakash of Dhan Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. After being blessed with Guru Sahib’s hukamnama Babaji went and again sat at the charankamal of Guru Sahib and began to utter “Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji” whilst playing the chenna (little bells).

In the morning some other sangat came to Babaji and said you keep uttering Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, can you really see Guru Nanak Dev Ji? Babaji smiled and simply looked toward Dhan Dhan Dhan Dhan Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.

Dhan Dhan Dhan Dhan Dhan Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, the only true light in this very dark world.

Guru Ram Das Ji in Raag Gauri Maajh:

ਗਉੜੀ ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਰਹੁ ਲਗਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

Ga▫oṛī mājẖ mėhlā 4. Mai har nāmai har birahu lagā▫ī jī▫o. Merā har parabẖ miṯ milai sukẖ pā▫ī jī▫o. Har parabẖ ḏekẖ jīvā merī mā▫ī jī▫o. Merā nām sakẖā har bẖā▫ī jī▫o. ||1||

Gauri Majh 4th Guru. For God's Name and God, I have developed love. When I meet my Lord God, the Friend, I obtain peace. By beholding Lord Master, I sustain life, O my mother. God's Name is my friend and brother.

ਮੈ = ਮੈਨੂੰ। ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ੈ ਬਿਰਹੁ = ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਕ। ਮਿਤੁ = ਮਿੱਤਰ। ਪਾਈ = ਪਾਈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਦੇਖਿ = ਵੇਖ ਕੇ। ਜੀਵਾ = ਜੀਵਾਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਜੀਊ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮਾਈ = ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਸਖਾ = ਮਿੱਤਰ।੧।

(ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਕ ਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ (ਹੁਣ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ) ਆਨੰਦ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਹੀ ਪਏ। ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ) ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਵੀਰ ਹੈ।੧।

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਜਪਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਉ ਭਾਗ ਵਡੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜੀਉ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਫਿਰਿ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਭਵਜਲ ਫੇਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥

Guṇ gāvhu sanṯ jī▫o mere har parabẖ kere jī▫o. Jap gurmukẖ nām jī▫o bẖāg vadere jī▫o. Har har nām jī▫o parān har mere jī▫o. Fir bahuṛ na bẖavjal fere jī▫o. ||2||

O venerable Saints, sing the praises of my Lord God. O thee very fortunate ones, through the Guru meditate on God's Name. Lord God's Name, and God, are my life and soul. By repeating the Name, I shall not, afterwards again, cross the terrible ocean.

ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ = ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜੀ! ਕੇਰੇ = ਦੇ। ਜਪਿ = ਜਪ ਕੇ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ। ਜੀਉ = ਹੇ ਜੀ! ਬਹੁੜਿ = ਮੁੜ। ਭਵਜਲ ਫੇਰੇ = ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ।੨।

ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਤੁਸੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੋ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗ ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਹਰਿ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੁਣ) ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ। (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮੁੜ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ (ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ) ਗੇੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੇ।੨।

ਕਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਵੇਖਾ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਚਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਮਨਿ ਲਗਾ ਭਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

Ki▫o har parabẖ vekẖā merai man ṯan cẖā▫o jī▫o. Har melhu sanṯ jī▫o man lagā bẖā▫o jī▫o. Gur sabḏī pā▫ī▫ai har parīṯam rā▫o jī▫o. vadbẖāgī jap nā▫o jī▫o. ||3||

How shall I see the Lord Master; the yearning of my soul and body? Unite me with God, O honourable saints, my soul bears Him love, By the Guru's gospel, God, the Beloved King is obtained. O very fortunate mortal, do thou repeat the Name of the Lord.

ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਤਨਿ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਉ = ਪ੍ਰੇਮ। ਵਡਭਾਗੀ = ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ।੩।

ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਉ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂ। ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ) ਤਾਂਘ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿਉ। (ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਵਡੜੀ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜੀਉ ਗੋਵਿਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਿਅੜੀ ਮਨਿ ਆਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੫॥੩੧॥੬੯॥

Merai man ṯan vadṛī govinḏ parabẖ āsā jī▫o. Har melhu sanṯ jī▫o goviḏ parabẖ pāsā jī▫o. Saṯgur maṯ nām saḏā pargāsā jī▫o. Jan Nānak pūri▫aṛī man āsā jī▫o. ||4||5||31||69||

Within my mind and body is the great longing for the Lord Master. O Saints, unite me with the Lord Master, who is very near to me. By the True Guru's instruction, God's Name is, ever, manifest to me. The desire of slave Nanak's heart is fulfilled.

ਪਾਸਾ = ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪੂਰਿਅੜੀ = ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।੪।

ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ) ਦੀ ਬੜੀ ਆਸ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਓਹ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿਉ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ (ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਹਰਿ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ) ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।੪।੫।੩੧।੬੯।
