UNITED KINGDOM, London -- British Sikh Federation General Secretary, Kashmir Singh, has been appointed to the statutory OFWAT (Water Industry Regulator for England and Wales) Central Customer Service Committee.

Singh has responsibility for a leading edge national UK technology project worth over £100 million, and he has successfully taken over parts of a challenging, major project worth over £1 billion. In addition, he has been involved in reviewing capital expenditure projects worth £1.5 billion presented by a leading UK company, and will be working with a varied group of people including the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Atlantic Command in USA, Director of Cable & Wireless, General Manager of China Light & Power, Assistant Chief Trading Standards Officer and the Director of Regions Ofgem.

As the British Sikh Federation (BSF) General Secretary, he has made steady progress with the support of many British Sikh Gurdwaras and organisations to make sure that the British Sikh Community gets £10,000 million per year, as the British Sikh Community's fair share of economic activity in the public and private sector, and towards overcoming the racial discrimination against the British Sikh Community with regard to recruitment, retention, promotions, and delivery of services by the public and private sector.

The BSF has helped to co-ordinate campaigns on common issues - religious, political, legal - of concern to the British Sikh Comm

unity. These campaigns, conducted openly and publicly, are evidenced by coverage by television, radio and newspapers.
