On one hand we have respect and on the other hand we have being a moorakh. If you let durga puja or anything else take place in Gurdwaras or at Gurmat functions that is Manmat, like Durga Puja, then its a moorakh move.

Sikhs respect other religions by letting them practice their beliefs openly and freely, as long as these practices are not oprressing others and pushing their beliefs on others.

This Durga Puja is a complete disregard for Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj and if any Singhs had the gutts they would not let it happen in any Gurmat place.

I dont think the original poster posted anything about Durga Pooja happening at a Gurdwara or Gurmat functions. From what I understand, the poster is just asking whether or not it is ok to go to a Durga Pooja in thier "flat" or apartment.

sounds to me that u have been invited to attend? Cant understand wat it written whether its an invitation to u to attend. If its an invitation and only for one day then its up to u, u dont have to go if u dont feel like it, just make diffrnt arrangments for that day. Do watever u feel best for u. Just because we dont follow another religion does not mean others cannot believe in wat they do, let them carry on with it, as long as it doesnt get in ur way or harm nobody else.
