Kala Afghana Excommunicated from Sikh Panth

Controversial writer Kala Afghana has been excommunicated by the Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the supreme temporal seat of the Sikhs. Afghana had made disparaging remarks about Gurubanee, Sikh Rahit and prominet Sikh personalities.

He had been summoned to the Akal Takht to explain his position, but July 10th, 2003

The decision to excommunicate him came after he failed to present himself before the Takht on that date.

Furthermore the Akal Takht Sahib decree stated that Sikhs worldwide should not allow Kala Afghana and his supporters and sympathisers the use of any Panthic stage or platform. Nor should they in any way provide any type of support to those people.
