ADMINS please ntoe Balbir Singh remarks in a response above - claiming our two high calibre personalities in Sikhism Bhai Gurdaas and Bhai Desa Singh not sikhs quoting

"These two personalities are not the Gurus of Sikhs. No Sikh should follow others than his Guru."

secondly Balbir singh is no believer in the amrit ceremony and he quotes:

"Amrit ceremony is not to believe."

And to you Balbir Singh you are no Sikh of the SGGS due the following reasons:

1. attach the word SINGH when you don't beleive how one becomes a singh

2. You're distasteful remarks on Bhai Gurdass and Bhai Desa Singh are unacceptable.

3. You have no Guru

Only peacce of advice for you is to delve deeper with respect for Sikh personalitiies and away from your own warped interpetations of SGGS, it will not work Balbir..never will and it never has for personalites such as yourseld, no matter how hard you try. You will if your karms permit you will have to realign your thought process properly at some stage for that I bid you best of Luck especially without no GURU

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal!

Dear Sall Jee!

Those who have wished once in the past leaving their Guru find and follow others in this human life.

Strange, some engage in activities which the true Gurus never suggest and expect recognition for it also.

With this post you have sowed new seeds in your heart and mind fields. I wish and pray rich crops for you.

*****

Let us say Raam tuning in with the reverend Gurus and join the Satsang.

Balbir Singh

CAN YOU GUIDE ME THEN WHO IS THAT RAAM . ???

AND WHO IS BHAKT DHRUV AND BHAKT PRAHLADH ??

Ram Japo Ji Aise Aise, Dhru Prahlad Japeyo Har Jaise

..................................

If by meditate on raam you mean ramchandar, then that is nothing short of blasphemy. Guru Maharaj is Nirankaar himself and it would be ridiculous to say he would meditate on a mortal creation of HIS.

There is no way sri raam or sri krishan ji were sargun saroop of Vaheguroo, this idea directly contradicts Gurbani.

Firstly, as in the tuk I gave in my earlier post shows, Gurbani has made a clear distinction between Akaal Purakh Vaheguroo and Sri Raam Chandar, stating he is contained only in himself.

also

Sri Dasam Granth:

All the incarnations of Vishnu like Rama and Krishan were destroyed by KAL, but they could not destroy him. 28.

and

Somewhere He hath created millions of the worms like Krishna. Somewhere He hath effaced and then created (many) like Rama.

There is no doubt both Sri Krishan Ji and Sri Raamchandar ji were great, but lets not get carried away saying they are like Guru Maharaj.

The following two tuks will definitely clear the mind and answer the original question.

Ram Gayo Rawan Gaoy - this I understand to mean Ram Chander left this abode.

Ram Naam Urmay Gayo, Ja Ke Sam Nahin Koye - this tuk gives importance to Naam. Which naam? Ram Naam.

If we see within the Hindu religion, there is another difference between Ram and Ram Naam.

Because when somebody dies, they carry the demised body and chant, "Ram Naam Sat Hai"

Nothing can be Sat if it is perishable. It clearly shows that Ram Naam and Ram Chander are very different altogether.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
