Dumalla Competition - Starts Here -

There was a lot of talk in the other thread, so I thought I'd start a new thread.

So the Dastaar will be judged by the following -

1. dumalla with shastars

2. nice dumalla.. clean and preciseness

3. dumalla for uniqueness including purattan styles

4. keski's.. clean ness and preciseness

5. dumallas according to size.. the biggest wins...

6. Same as number 2, but I think we shouldn't be segregating the 'boat/ship/peak'-style Dastaar-wearing people, as it doesn't really help them in their self-confidence of wearing a dastaar AT ALL

Also refers to number 3 - Dastaar for uniqueness with above mentioned 'styles'.

Best of all - you can post as many pictures you want - with YOUR different styles, and then Sangat can suggest which one looks the best :cool:

I will start with an old pic of me, when I used to tie a really neat damalla that was all folded and stuff. So weird (and small). This is my grad pic, they touched it up without asking me, so it looks like makeup or something, gross :|

What is UP with the TUX brother? Last time I checked I didn't see our Singhs fighting the Moghuls wearing Tuxedo's!

But either way, you still tied a pretty decent looking dumalla...

the tux was really just like an apron that looked like a tux that they put in front of me when they took it.

and this was like 3 years ago (oh my, does time fly!)

Yup.. Open the picture normally with Macromedia Fireworks then follow the instruction :

The pix resolution size must be around 1200 by 1000 or something like that.. reduce the size let say like 900 by 700 or figure the way u want. then go to File>>Export Preview then on the right top corner under Saved Settings choose JPEG Better quality from drop down menu box and then click Export.. Tada u got it. it will be around 200k or somethiing like that..

Maybe someone can give photoshop saving version.. :wub:
