As i go to aston university i can tell you that there isn't any gurdwara in walking distance. The ramgharia gurdwara is the nearest which is near the jewelery quarter but best to get a bus down there. Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha Gurdwara Soho Road is the best gurdwara near aston which has lots of sangat, and have gurbani path all day long and other programmes. A bus can be caught from the town centre to soho road straight (74,79 and probably others). Soho Road also have asa di vaar in the early mornings in the dome but dont really know what time. There are many gurdware in Birmingham but not all are have much sangat hence not many programmes. Hope that helps.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Soho rd looks like the place to be then. And to aston sikh I'm going to study optometry btw what course are you doing?

Also I would like to know if there are any private student accomodations that have ensuite rooms? Any good personal recommendations? THANKS

tbh with u bro living in halls not really good sucham wise and stuff even if its en-suite the kitchens shared thats where u get all ur problems.

but uve really got no other choice since u going from london, best thing would be either lakeside or the new accomodation being built but they'll both cost u around 110 quid a week.

for second year your bound to find a few singhs just get a house between a few of u tht'll be cheap aswell. otherwise see you around aston next year :)

Singh I suggest you get accommodation with unite. The rooms are currently about £98+ but better still try to find a place out of the uni area as the accomodation will be cheaper and plus you can find a flat near a gurdwara.

Singh I see you are quiet into sikhi; get an account so I can pm you about someone who is at birmingham and they can help quide you more spirtually to a new level... TRUST
