Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.

is it true that one of Guru Amar Das Jee's relative was a veshnu (vegetarian hindu)?

and when guru amar das jee started the langar, the veshnu guy came, and saw there was meat being served...

and since the veshnu guy could'nt eat it, so guru amar das jee made the langar vegetarian??? so everyone can eat it, and not feel left out?

is this true, or is this bubbles im hearing?

Please let me clarify this. Guru Gobind Singh kept the Baaz and wore a Kalgi because the Mughals had banned non Muslims form both these.

Both were acts of defiance by Guruji.

Also its my humble opinion that as one rises spiritually one gets a dislike for non veg food.

The battle was over the hawk that was captured by the Sikhs of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, not its prey. The sikhs refused to part with the hawk and so a battle ensued, won by Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. If you are hinting that Guru Ji hunted, then yes Guru Ji did and there was a number of reasons for this, BUT none of these reasons was hunting for food. Any soul

that is elevated will shun eating meat. Ask any spiritually enlightened soul, they will not eat meat. Guru Ji is pure as pure can be and there should be no doubt that Guru Ji refrained from eating meat, they ate simple food - pulses, daal, sabzi, roti, very simple food, for their real food was being attached to Akaal Purkh at all times.
