if its cus of your simran, wot ur doing rong is trying to push somthing that cant, or doesnt want to be pushed. as per a previous post, let the simran take you where it wants to take you.dont push it..

you will get further if you relax your mind and muscles in your head and just let the simran do what it wants to.. breathing normally is also key.. dont force it. go with it..

if you dont understand what im saying, it may be because your pain is not simran related in which case see a doctor bout it.

Everyone who puts his/her DHYAN above eyes or at the place of Trineter or Pitutory/pineal

gland, definitely ,it causes headache like migraine and some times Hypertension also.

But we forget GUR-UPDESH while doing so becoz Gurbani tells us to concentrate on Heart

(Anantha chakra) and Mann (Manipura chakra):-

"Mere hirde basaho gopal"

and

"Kar kirpa vasaho mere hirde hoe sahaee aap"

( Hirde mean Heart )

" Mann mehe ram nama jaap"

and

" Simar mana ram naam chitare"

and

"AE mann merya tu sada raho har nale"

(Here mann means mind )

And so many such quotations can be given from Gurbani where Guru sahib guides us for

meditation/ concentration whilst doing Jaap on Heart and Mind. But when we do concentation

on the pitutary area , our behaviour becomes dry type and mixed with mild anger which is due to

hypertension and mild headache and some chemical changes.

my brother, gurfateh

we are told to jup naam WITH our hirda, through concentration. when we concentrate, then we can (or try to) vas guru in our hearts. we are not to concentrate on heart "chakra" or any thing.. we must concentrate on god.

concentrating on god through our surti, will get us closer to him and vas god more in our own hirda.

chakra concentrating is a waste of time. y? cus it is, 'of the body'. god never dies and is infinite in nature. we must use what ever tools we can to help get to god, be that breath, surti, jaap, raag, taal, seva, saangat, keertan, everything. its all a tool that we are permitted to use by guru, to get to god.this is how >vada sahib guru milaaya< happens.

so through concentration, (obviously in our minds) we vas god into our hirda, and blam! we have sadha anand!

so lets start our engines through the ongoing ardaas!

dhan guru dhan guru!!!

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

The highest form of meditation is of Nirguna, but not everyone can do that without much effort. That is why Mahapurush will sometimes give premis a practice that involves naam simran with meditation on specific chakras. The idea is that it is easier to associate naam simran with something tangible (like one's breathing). This is as an aid to concentration, a tool and nothing more, because as someone has said previously on this thread, the chakras are impermanent.

Singh Ji,

I dont think we can refer to the swas as tangible. When the Swas come into contact with the paras kala of naam as destined it becomes part of the nirguna that is the all pervading illuminating light, but this invisible light can only be revealed by the Great Guru. The swas is immortal it has gone through numerous cages ( physical bodies) so I dont think we can refer to it as tangible because anything that is tangible eventually dies.

could you describe what simran on nirgun is/what it's like?

No. Only people who have attained this state can attempt to describe it (and I certainly have not), but it's by its nature indescribable because it is meditation on the Formless which occurs of its own accord after the mind has become one with shabad and one attains sun samadhi.

There's a nice description of the stages of Simran here:

Regards,

K.
