Third Eye Pain

Recommended Posts

intuition.jpg

"Located in the centre of the forehead and the pituitary gland, the Brow Chakra or Third Eye is related to the ability to see both physically and psychically. It is the seat of our intuition and inner wisdom and when balanced allows us access to ‘the bigger picture’ of our lives. Inner vision is therefore connected to this chakra."

I dont understand why i have pain in the exact place only , like i dont have a full out headache, just right dot on that spot between my eyebrows,,,,

maybe sitting on computer too long, oversleeping, over using my intuition,

or maybe my third eye hurts becuz im not folowing my destiny fully, or theres sum type of blockage,

any ideas as to why the pain?

actually third eye is the pineal gland not that it matters. But also sometimes mine hurts too, when i try to jap nam, and try too hard it makes it hurt. But it does not hurt as much, when i tried to eat foods rich in omega fatty acids, because i heard it is good for your brain. Eating walnuts and linseeds are a good source for this, if you don't eat fish. But i do this, and although it does not hurt as much, when i try to concentrate too much, it still hurts. The pain is right in the centre of my brain. Where the pineal gland would be.

It may have something to do with wrong sleeping patterns. Did you know DMT (dimethyltryptamine) the most potent psychedelic drug in the world. And one of the most illegal drugs ever. Well it is a chemical that we produce naturally everynight by our pineal glands. It happens during rem sleep, and is responsible for our dreams. Also when you die you pineal gland/third eye makes this chemical. And in reptiles they actually have a physical third eye, because it has a retina and a cornea known as the Parietal eye. well the reason im talking about this is because, sleeping patterns affect the pineal gland, which is why it might make it hurt. I know my sleeping patterns are messed up, sometimes i go to bed early sometimes late, everyday is inconsistant. This stuff can mess with the third eye.but honestly i really dont kno the answer

It could be any number of reasons from the mundane to the spiritual.

If it is as a result of bhakti, then reciting naam while concentrating an inch or so below the navel at the chakra there will relieve such pain and also act to prevent any kind of chakra opening up before one is ready.

Also touching the tip of your toungue on the upper palate of your mouth (just behind your upper row of teeth) while you are doing bhakti keeps your prana circulating down your front and back rather than just up the spine and outwards.

what happens when a chakra opens when ones not ready?

like for example in EGO You show off your intuition and by doing so loose it?

Depends which one it is. Usually premature opening of the third eye chakra is associated with intense crippling headaches, visual hallucinations and mental illness. It's unlikely to happen though unless one does intense meditation on this chakra, and even then seeing gods, angels, and communicating telepathically with spiritual beings is not always a sign of madness. If such things happen, one would need to speak to a Mahapurush.

The point of this post is that i guess sum experiences are blessing of our past bhagti becuz i dont think my frend at the age of 10 was doing intense meditation on this chakra but she did have immense pyar for Guru ji, when she was younger she had good and bad experiences of seeing things,,

she has seen good spirits in dreams or half awake such as shaheed singhs and She had a dream that she saw Guru Gobind singh ji sitting on a beautiful Throne, her younger brother had dreams of Sant Jarnail Singh ji,

But on the dark side, she has seen dark beings and wierd experience like feeling she cant move as sumthings on top of her,

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
