Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fatheh !!

Saadh Sangat Jee,

As you know

By the hukam of Akaal Purakh,

Some of the Guru's beautiful Gursikhs have left this earth.

Please, with your full heart, do ardaas for these Gursikhs.

This is a very difficult time for the Panth. These were extraordinary Gursikhs who changed so many lives for the better, with the Guru's kirpa. They were very committed to their seva in their sangat, and were always a leading example of determination and dedication.

For sangat's information, a Sri Akhand Paath Sahib has been started at Khalsa Primary School on 124 St and 72nd Ave (across from Khalsa School). Sevadars and sangat from Guru Nanak Academy will be at this program.

A second Sri Akhand Paath Sahib has been started at Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar on 128 St and 88 Ave.

A third paath/simran program has been started at Gurdwara Sahib Amrit Parkash on 123A St and 80 Ave.

A fourth simran/keertan program has been started at Gurdwara Sahib Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Sikh Society on 88 Ave near 144 St. There will be a keertan program from 4:00pm to 7:30pm tonight.

A fifth simran/keertan program is being held tonight beginning at 5:30pm at a sangatee's house in Burnaby, for directions visit www.harjas.com.

There will be many more programs without a doubt - these were panth rattans that Guru jee has put back into his treasure chest.

All sangat please attend these programs.

Guru Maharaaj kirpaa karan, may these Gursikhs set their home in the immortal and sweet kamal charna of Gur

u Maharaaj.

bhul chuk maaf karnaa jee

I just wanted to mention, that after receiving this devastating news no one should stop doing the paath's they have started. It will benefit their atmaa if we continue doing paath/simran/keertan. Everyone please continue doing what you were doing along with ardaas for their atmaa's.

It seems like swallowing a bitter pill right now, but Satguru jee dhaa bhaaNaa mithay kar kay munNa paiNa.

Waheguroo Jee Kaa Khalsa !

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fatheh !!

Guru Pyario:

The tragedy that befallen on all of us is beyond belief.

Whats happened is beyond comprehension. We remain

in a state of disbelief. In a state of shock.

Three of our most wonferful, lovable, youth who led exemplary

lives and who were a constant inspiratioin to others have left us.

These were not your normal individuals. They were special. Special

in every respect. They were committed to the service of the panth

and these were individuals who, whilst still being in their youth managed

to make a difference. They made a mark in a society and a

community that wasnt always supportive.

The loss of these jewels is a one that we will never recover from.

I take this opportunity to share with all of you some pictures that

I took recently of Charanjit Singh at the Gatka demonstrations

at UBC and Dashmesh Darbar.

They can be seen at the following web site that I created this morning

in his rememberance.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
