-- 1st North American Sikh Martial Arts Competition --

This event is to bring awareness of the Sikh martial heritage; to promote and uphold Sikh values of bravery, skill, quality sportsmanship, and Khalsa spirit; to educate the sangat, particularly the youth, on self-defence; to bring the community together in an atmosphere where the skills and efforts of the Sikh youth are being celebrated. This will be a major effort to promote the art of shastar vidiya. The event is also being organized as a means to gather Sikh martial artists, leaders and enthusiasts from around the world with the aim of exchanging information, techniques, training methods and current standards. Warriors will have the opportunity to battle against each other and show their weaponry and martial skills. Top Prizes will be awarded as 1st, 2nd placement in each of the events. Various organizations will be at hand with stalls set up to promote this event.
