I Need Advice From London Gursikhs

me and my friends are going to be visited some London Attractions in the next 2 weeks and am wandering wether i'm going to be allowed entry with my Kirpan into the following:

- London Aquarium

- The British Museum

- The Natural History Museum

- Museum of London

Do any require a search or have metal detectors on entry?

what preparation should i do if they do?

should i take some form of Legal documentation that it is my statutory right to wear a Kirpan...if you does any one have this documentation?

should i contact the individual places before hand and let them know that i will be wearing a kirpan?

any advice will be appreciated

yes, yes, yes and yes.

You shouldnt have no problems and if you do, all you have to do is explain your a sikh etc. I think London eye is one of the main attractions where they don't let you wear a kirpan at all, otherwise you should be ok.

Dont worry about it just walk in, they cant do nothing and you dont need papers to prove anything to them.

Only places you may have probs are a) London Eye, b) Madame Tussauds, although I dont think they pat you down so its about luck. I would say keep kirpan under your clothing and you will be fine. Any problems I suggest you start quoting the letter of the law and talk to the security manager.
