Gunman, driver and five followers of Baba Bhaniarewala were arrested for an attempt to murder from near the Garhdholiyan village here today.

Villagers caught one of Baba’s followers Preetam Chand with a woman in a compromising situation.

Villagers objected to it and asked Preetam to leave. But Preetam Chand claimed to be a follower of Baba Bhaniarewala and entered into a verbal duel with the villagers. The villagers beat him up, while the woman fled.

Preetam Chand informed seven dera followers, including the gunman and the driver of Baba Bhaniarewala, who beat up the villagers.

The gunman is head constable Mahinderpal Singh and the driver is constable Balwinder Singh.

The other followers arrested include Lakhvir Singh, Sukhminder Singh, Malkeet Singh and Manoj Kumar.

Police team headed by ASI Himmat Singh, reached the spot. Villagers were raising slogans against Bhaniarewala Baba and had blocked the road.

When Himmat Singh tried to disperse the crowd, they did not allow him to perform his duty.

The police booked 56 persons for causing inconvenience to the public and not allowing a government official to perform his duty.

Five persons, including Surinder Singh, Harjinder Singh, Upkar Singh, Roshan Lal and Jasvior Singh were arrested.

-how come shiv sena and RSS don't protest this baba's actions? isn't he an anti-national element? i mean armed body guards, henchmen molesting women, isn't that what india said about baba bhindrawaala? why no national protest about this baba? when the picture of baba bhindrawaala was unveiled in darbar sahib these shiv sainaks were going to pay lakhs to whom ever would take the portrait down...hmmmm....

oh yeah, because he's for bharat mata. it's all fine and dandy as long as your attacking sikhi, and not promoting it.

Do u think they will protest no man ... you know why coz these so called babey like bhaniyara wala are creation of Hinduwaad . Media is of this bahmani sarkar . Lots violation of human right , murders happened in punjab , recently Beadbi of Guru Granth sahib ji in model town happened but media didnt took any action... they make these babaz hero and show our singhs as terrorist
