Raag are the ladder for your mind to get to Sachkhand. To learn about raag i wuodl sugest thatyou listen to katha of Raagmala and you will understand more about the importance of Raag in kirtan. Remember bfore every shabad and writer comes the raag. It must mean something for Guru Arjan to put the name of the raag before everything.
