Tie the crown upon my head

And make me your Sikh

So we can unite brothers and sisters of all races

And not be judged as petty faces

So I can feel no difference in joyance and pain

And be emancipated from these shackles and chains

So I may transcend the grounds of this solid earth

And evade the occurrence of another birth

So I may surrender my head unto your sword

And bleed for the one and only, veritable Lord

Even if my deeds are like a drop in the ocean

None can assess the value of true devotion

For a true Sati will step away from the flames

And be absorbed by the resplendence of Your Name

Because only through selfless munificence to others

Will I obtain sustenance from You, True Mother

Forgetting my blunders, with You I will heal

Let the ones who sing the songs

And I will clasp your name to my chest

And I will roar like a Lioness

For as a mere mortal, I can barely discern your infinite gifts

Please Lord; Imbue my soul with your Immaculate Bliss
