Lakẖ cẖa­orāsīh bẖarmaṯi­ā ḏulabẖ janam pā­i­o­ė.

Through 8.4 million incarnations you have wandered, to obtain this rare and precious human life.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਤੂੰ ਸੋ ਦਿਨੁ ਨੇੜਾ ਆਇਓਇ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੯੨॥

Nānak nām samāl ṯūʼn so ḏin nėṛā ā­i­o­ė. ||4||22||92||

O Nanak, remember the Naam, the Name of the Lord; the day of departure is drawing near! ||4||22||92||

ਇਕੁ ਫਿਕਾ ਨ ਗਾਲਾਇ ਸਭਨਾ ਮੈ ਸਚਾ ਧਣੀ ॥

Ik fikā na gālā­ė sabẖnā mai sacẖā ḏẖaṇī.

Do not utter even a single harsh word; your True Lord and Master abides in all.

Slander is pleasing to the Lord's humble servant.
