Ok, if boys and girls are supposed to wear dastaars equally, how come a girl, if her parents so choose, will start wearing a dastaar/kheski at a very you age, but the boy will wear a patka, if his parents choose? How come girls don't wear patkas like boys at a young age?

think realistic, a lil kid in school cant take care of a dumalla, if it comes off in activity or has a fight. There might be non one that knows how to tie one. so he would have to walk around unitl his mummy comes to tie his dumalla again. patka is easier to handle. i reckon as soon as u get beard cuming change to dumalla

thinking realistically...

I don't think sikh children are taught to fight so horribly that their dumallas fall off...That seems too harsh...I've seen children who are 2 or 3 with dumallas...And trust me...They look so adorable...They don't even fight...Forget the dumallas falling off.. blink.gif

But I respect your view :D
