Insecurities, phobias, ignorance, racism, tribal survivalism.

Coz they're obsessed wiv who they are and their indian culture - and there's that stuff bout building gurdwaras nd one caste started taking over so the other caste got annoyed and made their own gurdwaras even tho they were first into the uk blah blah blah...

(not mentioning which caste)

Plus they wanna spread the family name, and non- amritdhari parents stop their amritdhari children from changing their surnames to singh, kaur or khalsa

Not including everyone - some ppl will only allow their children to marry into their own caste, gurdwaras are known as 'ramgharia gurdwaras' or 'Jatta de gurdware', people generalise castes - like sayin jatts are more loyal to their religion etc.

and then there's other personal things lyk using surnames or going around wearin hoodies wiv a khanda on and then ur caste...

sometimes i feel its just ego - desire for high positions in a Gurdwara and use caste as an excuse to make a new one.
