what you're espousing is more of a conspiracy theory. Yeah, economic warfare is a reality, but don't go connecting everything to rich v. poor, west v. east because its never so easy as that. There are several different actors that cause the problems of today, and they may or may not be connected. Unsubstantiated links help no one...

and civil wars dont always happen in muslim countries. That is just the contemporary reality. In the 19th century the climate was very different (the US had a civil war). Terrorism crosses all religious, temporal, political, and ethnic boundaries.

To think something is fishy is to not know the real reason behind what's happening. Why aren't we willing to say "we don't know the reason why this happened" when situations call for us to do so? Better to admit absence of proof than make it up...

I hardly think its a conspiracy theory, structural adjustment policies and economic hitmen are a reality. you say that Terrorism crosses all religious, temporal, political, and ethnic boundaries, but one thing it always shares is class struggle, which transcends all of the categories you included. All these categories are a means to the end of power control and money, essentially nothing but materialistic gains.

Your views are typical of people with leftist views. They like to turn any struggle be it national, ethnic or religious into a class struggle. I have news for you, the so-called class struggle ended in 1991 with the destruction of the USSR. Communism and in many cases Socialism has been consigned to the dustbin of history. I think that your views are about a few decades too late. The ironic thing is that leftists who are one stage were in the forefront of the struggle for equal rights are in bed with Islamic terrorists who hold views which are totally at odds with them. Leftists like to filter each and every event until they get the answer they are looking for, namely that it is the fault of the Americans of Capitalism in general.

Benazir Bhutto has been killed .

It is now clear that she was one of those who helped weaken the Khalistan movement. This should now be clear to even those who were doubtful about this earlier.

pakistan used to help Sikhs in the past but is it still interested in doing so ?

Instead of looking at other people why not put our own house is order first .By our own order I mean the Sikh nation which is not united at present .Look at the state of the only party fighting for Sikh's rights .Mann's spoons and some times even Mann have been time and again indulging in third grade mud slinging against Bittu and the panch pradhani system almost on a daily basis .Sometimes they call the panch pradhani a part of the badal establishment and sometimes an offshoot of rss and other times a gathering of pensionor kharkoos .Sometimes they say the gathering at bittu's rally was lesser than mann's rally. We all know how gatherings are made for rallys .

Mann has been claiming that he has made a great "kurbaani" for the Sikh quam .There is no doubt in this fact and all Sikhs have respect for him in his contribution to the Sikh cause .But at the same Is the sacrifice of Harinder Singh Norway(India's former ambassodor to Norway who resigned from his IAS post after operation bluestar),Harpal Singh Cheema(who spent more than 14 years of his life in various jails including USA),Daljit Singh Bittu (who spent more than 21 years of his life in jail or underground during the Khalistan movement)--these 3 are panch pradhani presidium members .

On the other hand Prof Mohinderpal Singh,Gursewak Singh Jwaharke the so called "senior leaders "of Mann dal were relatively unknown until few months ago.I am not aware of the contribution made by these "senior leaders" to the Sikh struggle .If anyone is aware then please enlighten the sangat on this. These leaders including Mann have no right to comment on panch pradhani, khalsa action committee, dal khalsa, sikh youth federation etc. as these organisations have shown great restraint and have not said anything against mann dal.

Does Mann dal think it is going to make much headway towards Khalistan by trying to isolate the very same people who have given up their youth time for the same cause ?

Another news just coming in is the victory of BJP in HP which is just adjacent to Punjab. In this scenario mann and company should immediately stop spewing venom on other Sikh organisations and instead concentrate on making the Sikhs aware of dangers of RSS and the sangh parivar .

We have to first show unity amongst Sikhs to take on the tide of Hindutva and then talk about Khalistan.

Coming back to benazir's assasination,is an instable pakistan in favour of Sikhs ?

Bhul Chuk Maaf,

Harjot Singh Brar

i just hope it was al qaeda and not mushaaraf that killed her. if it was mushaaraf then his time is probably numberd and i think he is one of the only people who can hold the place together. but if enough evidence is against al qaeda then the pakistanis might unite against the extremists which would be a good thing.

im sad that she died but she did come back to pakistan at a horrible time and her arrivel destablized the country in the midst of a civil war. the west seems to like to paint her as a champion of democracy but she was really trying to grab power while musharraf was weak. and she was thrown out in the first place for being corrupt but i guess all politions are to a certain extent.
