Bittu Or Mann?

We must remember one thing that it is Mann who has tried to show the door to Bittu at the behest of his "spoons" : Dhian Singh Mand,Ram Singh,Jwaharke,Prof Mohinderpal Singh etc .

The reason being to bring Mann's son in the fore front whose contribution to the Sikh struggle is zero.

Not only this these "spoons" have been indulging in slandering and that too at a very low level against Bittu whereas Bittu has not send anything against Mann.Had it been any other leader he would have paid back in the same coin but it is surprising and great that Bittu has not said anything against Mann.

He has even told his party workers not to say anything against Mann and even his "spoons" .He has said ultimately all will join the Panch pardhani system.

Now when Mann has been arrested Bittu has even condemned that .

The whole SAD(Amritsar) belongs us whether they attend Mann's rally or Bittu's rally .

Mann should think many times before he speaks .

I am so glad someone brought that up. Lets look at ourselves before we comment on the Singhs who are IN INDIA and kicking it!

Veer dasmesh regiment ji, forgive me for my ignorance but I think this is a very immature and irresponsile thread. We are trying to compare 2 Singhs who are both fighting for Sikhs in India, unlike cyber kharkoos and other hot-headed rich people sitting in foreign countries. Lets show respect to both of them.

bhul chukk maaf

bittu or mann?

seems to me that mann is insane - declaring that bhagat singh is not a shaheed was a bad move

even mann's speechs are a bit muddled

bittu is much better

any views?

I respect Both Mann and Bittu.

I Have a one question , why as a sikh we should respect Bhagat singh , tell me

Bhagat singh was arya samaji , communist.

What Bhgat singh has done for sikhi ?

Our shaheeds are likes of Jinda sukha , satwant singh Beant singh , Bhai Amrik Singh

Bhagat Singh was born in September 27, 1907 in the village Banga of Layalpur to Mata Vidyavati and Sardar Kishan Singh. Bhagat Singh grew up in a patriotic atmosphere as his father and uncle, were great freedom fighters and were put in jail many times by the British.

Bhagat Singh grew up at a time when the Freedom struggle was all around him. Since his young age he wondered why so many Indians could not get freedom from a few British invaders, he dreamed of a free India. The massacre at Jallianwala Bagh on April 13, 1919 drove him to go to Amritsar, where he kissed the earth and brought back home a little of the blood soaked soil, he was just 12 years old then. Kartar Sing Sarabha, hanged at the age of 19 by the British was Bhagat Singh's hero.

Bhagat Singh, along with the help of Chandrashekhar Azad, formed the Hindustan Socialist Republican Army (HSRA). The aim of this Indian revolutionary movement was defined as not only to make India independent, but also to create "a socialist India."

In February 1928, a committee from England visited India. It came to be known as the Simon Commission. The purpose of its visit was to decide how much freedom and responsibility could be given to the people of India. Indian freedom fighters started an agitation called "Simon go back". It was in this agitation that during a police lathicharge, Lala Lajpat Rai was hurt and died. To avenge the death of Lala Lajpat rai, Bhagat Singh and Rajguru shot and killed the British Officer who had hit Lala Lajpat Rai.

In April 1929, the Central Legislative Assembly met in Delhi. The British Government wanted to place before the Assembly two bills which were likely to harm the country's interests. Even if the Assembly rejected them, the Viceroy could use his special powers and approve them, and they would become laws. Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt planned to throw a bomb in the Legislative Assembly and, get arrested. On 8th of April 1929 this is what they exactly did. The idea of the attack was not to kill anyone but to create awareness about India's freedom struggle. They were arrested after this attack.

In their trial Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt stated, "If the deaf are to hear, the sound has to be very loud. When we dropped the bomb, it was not our intention to kill anybody. We have bombed the British Government. The British must quit India and make her free."

In the trial it was decided that Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were to be hanged for all their anti British activities. On 24th of March 1931 Bhagat Singh walked upto the hanging rope kissed it and put it around his neck to be hanged.

Bhagat Singh became "Shaheed Bhagat Singh" or Martyr at the age of 24. The stories of his courage and patriotism became an inspiration for many youth at that time who wanted to see India independent. Even today Shaheed Bhagat Singh's memory continues to inspire the youth and many poems and songs have been written about his courage and undying patriotism.

To be a matyr is to die for your religion or principals. Bhagat Singh was a matyr, but, as amar_jkp said, what did he do for sikhi? He may not have fought specifically for sikhi, but we should respect anyone who fought for justice.

i never said bhagat singh was a specific sikh shaheed - he died for india. it was wrong for mann to bring up a non issue at this time when the rss and shiv shena bjp congress are challenging sikhs openly in punjab and offering rewards to take down sant bhindranwale's picture - this shows mann's poor judgment. by saying he wasnt a shaheed will alienate lakhs of potential voters and supporters. mann is damaging the movement.

mann has, however, done plenty for the movement - there is no denying that. but he needs to step down and let bittu come forward. mann is becoming like badal - mann is promoting his own son. this is wrong.

mehtab singh - this is not an immature qns. it is a vital one. whilst there are two SAD (A)'s the vote bank is split. when there are splits there in no chance of victory. we are a long way from any victory and without a unified 3rd panthic front we have no chance at all. in my opinion mann is blocking this.

another point is that panthic.org is pro mann. it has previously said that bittu and other singhs have met rulda singh the rss man. they may well have. but remember sant bhindranwale met with zail singh rajiv gandhi at a funeral in delhi in the early eighties. did that make him a congress agent? nope.
