To cut a long story short, it talks about how the Gurdwara is linked with Guru Har Rai One time the Guru come to that village and brought along his fauja and horses. Because there were so many horses their food quickly ran out. A Sevak of the Guru Bhai Prem Das who lived at that village went to his fields and brought back a plant called a Bela. He fed these to the horses and the horses were very happy eating them. The Guru asked Prem Das what he had fed them that made them so happy, he replied the Bela plant. The Guru became happy and said that there will always be lush green bela available at this asthaan, hence the name, Harianbela.
