This past Wednesday 14th November 2007, a kirtan darbar was held at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, South Birmingham and was followed by Arambh di Ardas for A Prayer In Action which starts this Saturday 17th November 2007. We were all blessed with the sangat of Sewadaars and participants from across the region and the atmosphere was beautiful. Can I take this oppurtunity to thank all sangat for coming and all the sewadaars who did sewa in the Langar Hall and Kitchens.

At this current time we have approx. 260 participants signed up for the 40 days prayers from across the Globe including Malayasia, Thailand, USA, Singapore and the UK.

A benti in the charan of the Sadh Sangat, if there is anyone who would like to participate in the 40 days prayers (Mool Mantar, Japji Sahib, Sukhmani Sahib, Chaupai Sahib or Sehaaj Paath) please sign up on www.sikhhelpline.com

There are Gutkey and Malay available for all participants and will be supported by their local sewadaar.

In the remembrance of the Shotey Sahibjade, Baba Zorawar Singh and BabaFateh Singh, ‘A Prayer in Action'(40 days of collective prayer for the wellbeing of all children suffering around the world)was launched on the 14thNovember 2006.

Volunteers from anywhere in the world have chosen to take part in thisjoint effort by pledging to do 40 days of a prayer of their choice. The 40 days prayers will be ending on the 26th Deember 2007. To mark thisevent, a Akhand Paath Sahib will be Held from the 24th-26th December 2007 at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, 24 Showell Green lane, Sparkhill, South Birmingham B11 4JP. The Arambh and Bhog of the Akhand Paath will be at 6pm on the 24th and 26th December respectively.

A Kirtan Darbar will follow the Bhog from6pm-9.00pm.

A humble request to all participants and sewadaars to bless us with your presence and to join in the Ardas and Kirtan Darbar.
