Sahdsangat ji.....I've recently been wondering about this and would appreciate all of your opinion.

Should someone that is non-amritdhari....but keeps kes and is trying to become one(amritshak) be allowed to do Kirtan at Gurudwara or Smagam? I know AKJ smagams don't allow that but wouldn't it help raise the self-esteem of these young sikhs and encourage them to follow Sikhi? They are not preaching to anyone, they would simply be doing kirtan that is written in Guru Granth Sahib....not taking a hukamnama, or doing the ardaas or anything. grin.gif

Just give me your opinion on this subject. THX

Verji

It would raise there self-esteem, but when performing at a gudwara sahib we are repersenting guru jee and guru jee's roop.

When I was a kid I always looked up at the kirtaniee and thought wow such talent and pyar we should all work to being guru jee's sikh this should not hurt no1 and should be a more positive step.
