Is the Journey into Siri Harmandar Sahib symbolic of our Journey in our jeevans?

Pyare jio, I think so. When one travels around Amritsar, you feel the smog, car horns, dust, etc. It is complete chaos, even right up to the complex. Similarly in life, everyone is caught up in the rat race, always in a hurry, busy in all of their chores and duties.

Then one enters the complex and sees Siri Harmandar sahib through the entrance. The first thing that hits you is the complete sense of peace. Eventhough you have only walked in a few steps in the entrance and come upon the stairs, the peace is amazing, and in complete contrast to the hustle bustle outdoor. Similarly when in life we actually listen to keertan for the first time. I mean really listen and fall in a trance of complete calmness.

Then one gently walks down the stairs to the Parkarmia. To enter the realm of the Darbar sahib, we walk down. Similarly in life, humility is first and essential for spirituality. It is only when we are humble, do you we respect. It is only when we respect, do we listen. It is only when we listen, do we learn. It is only when we learn, do we appreciate, experience and enjoy.

Then one does ishnaan in the sarovar. The day is hot, but the water is cool, and fresh, and glistens in the light. Similarly when we take amrit, our minds are are caught in the heat of the 5 Vikaars, but when bathed in sweet amrit, the mind cools into calmness, and one wanders in awe at this new found glistening treasure within.

The Gurbani enters the ears. So melodious and beautiful. One follows its and yearns to go into the darbar as he wanders around the parkarmia. Similarly in li

fe, as one enters the deep realms of abyass and spirituality. One is blessed with "Anhad Shabad", the mind can hear the bani, but one still cannot see further. This encourages one further as he still yearns for darshan.

Then one enters the Darshan Doeri, and proceeds in eagerness over the sarovar to the darbar. Is this not symbolic? It eluded me for so long. Guru Ji takes and blesses them from the continuous cycle of worldlism, and places him at his door. For now the one is worthy, and is walking the pathway, the 84 paces. He has crossed the ocean of worldism (walkway), left the cycle of life and death(pakarmia), and is now progressed towards the final destination Sachkhand Siri Harmandar Sahib.

As one enters, one looks around in awe of its magnificence. Is this not paradise on earth, perfection personified. As one enters the door, in front is my Sahib, Sahib Siri Guru Granth Ji, for this a place truely worthy of my Sahib Ji`s presence. Glowing surrounded by magnificence and complete opulence, but still the attention is attracted by the most magnificent of all Sahib Siri Guru Granth Sahib ji. All who enter realise this and bow before, in surrender. At the side of my Sahib, are all those blessed Gursikhs who are rewarded with this sangat and seva, and are selected according to his will. The akhand bani resonates everywhere, its simplicity is its beauty. Similarly in life for those who have entered this door, and been blessed and rewarded with that Glory. Describing the indescribable, it cannot be said, because never can words do justice.

This is just my impression, But was not my sahib who created this magnificent place, the most magnificent of all. Great is Sahib Siri Guru Arjan dev Ji.
