Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh.

i was wondering.

how do people interpret that Bard de sawaye of Guru Nanak..does it mean that The Jyot of Guru Nanak has manifested it self in the past as other prophets and avatars:

Blessed, blessed, blessed and fruitful is the sublime birth of the Guru into the world.

Even in the nether regions, His Victory is celebrated; so says KAL the poet.

You are blessed with the Nectar of the Lord's Name, O Guru Nanak; You have mastered Raja Yoga, and enjoy sovereignty over both worlds. ||6||

In the Golden Age of Sat Yuga, You were pleased to deceive Baal the king, in the form of a dwarf.

In the Silver Age of Traytaa Yuga, You were called Raam of the Raghu dynasty.

In the Brass Age of Dwaapur Yuga, You were Krishna; You killed Mur the demon and saved Kans.

You blessed Ugrasain with a kingdom, and You blessed Your humble devotees with fearlessness.

In the Iron Age, the Dark Age of Kali Yuga, You are known and accepted as Guru Nanak, Guru Angad and Guru Amar Das.

The sovereign rule of the Great Guru is unchanging and permanent, according the Command of the Primal Lord God. ||7||

and also.

the last part of the Mool Mantra, aad sach, jugaad sach, hai bhi sach, Nanak hosi bhi sach.

is it refering to God, or to the Jyout of the Guru?

i heard that the first part is about God, while the second part is of Guru...

From what I understand the Shabad isn't implying that it was Guru Nanak Sahib who lived as Rama or Krishna but it was the power of Guru Nanak Sahib that was behind all the miracles that were performed by the prophets. All the powers the prophets had was because of power of Guru Sahib. It was certainly not Guru Sahib when Krishna deceived Parjaat or when he stole the clothes of women bathing in the river.

The Mool Mantar is talking about Akal Purakh whose Jot now resides in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. There is no difference between Akal Purakh and Guru Sahib.

Gurfateh brother.

well,... we can not know wheter if all the stories about ram and krishna are true.if they were messengers of God, they can probably not have lived like that...

how do you interpret the idea of miracles? it says "you devieced him", "you gave him" "you were known as" etc etc...

Bhatts are praising Guru Sahib as they see Guru Sahib everywhere and the main power behind every prophet. Bhatts are saying that for them Guru Sahib is everything: Ram, Krishna, Janak etc. This means that Guru Sahib has existed forever and Raj of Guru Sahib has always been in existence since aad. This is clear from the panktee "Tu Satgur Chau(n) Juggi". Neither does it imply that Guru Sahib took birth as ram or krishna nor does it prove that they ever existed. Similarly, Guru Gobind Singh Ji in Sawayeas refer to Waheguru as "Neelkanth, Narhar, Narayan, Neel Basan" etc. All these words were used for Shiva but Guru Sahib claims that Waheguru is everything for him. Bhattas have followed the same line of thinking. I hope this clarifies it.

Chaupai Sahib

Mahan Kaal Ko Kehet Sada Shiv Nirankaar Ka Chinet Nehey Bhiv

(People call ShivJi as Mahan Kaal (Great Destroyer) but do not recognise Nirankaar (Formless God) in the least)

In Dasam Granth Kaal (Destroyer) is only Waheguru
