Sri Guru Granth Sahib

SSA,

recently i have been reading SGGS.....

and i have been think of this for a long time now;

how is the SGGS organised....yes in 3 parts; 1) Japji, So Dar, Sohila 2) 31 Rags 3)Shaloka, Mundavani and Rag Mala....but how is numbering system?

After some verses there are a lot of numbers; and it looks like it a counting over the recent Stanzas or Parts....could someone please explain how this is organised? i read that it is 'computerised' system or in other words very mathematically correct....but i have not understood it yet, cause i have not read SGGS alot....always been readen from parts; like i read some Phaths/Banis and then stop....but now i am reading from Start to End...and i noticed this 'numbering'.

Is there any good site or a article about this? I will be happy if someone here could help out...

Thanks,

Your Veer,

Deep ^_^

some people call it the "computer lockup system"

so no one can make any changes to sggs.. as in no one can add their own bani or delete it

Guru arjan dev ji was the first one to use it to prevent tampering.

i was told once what they meant.. but cuz i am a moorakh cant remember em anymore..
