Weird Occurance at Funeral

Gurbani mentions alot about 'destiny written upon the forehead'...what does this mean? I know it might have some sort of metaphorical meaning, but...when i was india in april of this year, my grandfather passed away. A couple days after the funeral, the whole family went back to the place where the funeral pyre was set, to take the bones/ash out and put them in the river.

I was filming everything with a camcorder, while some of my family members were picking up the bones and putting them in a vessel. They kept saying, "find the kopree (forehead)"...after a while one person started yelling "i found it!"...and everyone gathered around to get a look. I asked one of my family members what the big deal was about the forehead plate (front part of skull)...and he said that a person's destiny is written on it. I almost laughed inside, and thought it was some sort of punjabi myth...but after they put me in the front to make a movie, i was kind of confused...this may sound weird, but it seemed like there was some sort of writing engraved in it....and it was very clear. It looked kind of like muslim writing, but it wasn't...and it had curved lines, staright ones, as well as little dots. I thought it was probably some sort of heat related cracks, but it was weird how these lines were only on the forehead, and they really looked like written words (curved lines etc.)....

Does anyone know anything about this? At first i just thought it was just a natural occurrance, caused by excessive heat, but i don't know for sure, i am usaully skeptical about these sort of things. Has anyone else heard

of this before?...i know it says in Gurbani quite a bit about 'destiny written upon the forehead'...but is it metaphorical or could it be meant literally?

I don't think anyone tampered with it because this has been going on for as long as people can remember in our village in india, and probably many other villages. They say every khopree has this on it. I'm not saying that it is the layka written, i just don't know. It could be some sort of natural occurance caused by heat, but it really made me wonder because Guru Granth Sahib Ji has many references to 'destiny written upon forehead'

Amardeep Singh, all of the videos i made in india are in a diferent city right now, but i will be visiting there for New Years, and bring back the tape and upload it.

No offence Ji, but even if this is true, what can we do about it? Or knowing what his destiny is? It can change at any time with one glance from Vaheguru. It is not fixed, it is dependant on your grandfather's deeds in this and the previous lives. I don't think we should get so involved in whether or not it is true, Vaheguru can change a person's destiny with his one glance of love, so it is not permanent, and even if it is, we as mere mortals can do nothing but pray to Maharaj to bless your grandfathers Aatma.

THe current Sri Harmander Sahib head-granthi Singh Sahib Gyani Mal Singh Ji once told the Sangat that one of the Sakhis of Panth Parkash mention that Singhs who were massacred after Dasam Patshah Ji's time had different Gubani pantkis or mantars written on their scalp. It depended on what that Shaheed did jap of, those who were abhyaasis of Waheguru mantar had waheguru engraved and so on...
