WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

"Should a Sikh be worried because Shabad may die one day."

I think you better worry that you will die one day.

The translation is:

"gur kai sabad marai man maaray ha-umai jaa-ay samaa-i-aa."

Through the Shabad of the Guru, the dead soul/ego is killed and leaves, merging the devotee to the Almighty.

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal!

Dear all!

For Sikhs Shabad is the Guru.

Should a Sikh be worried because Shabad may die one day.

Can some please explain this?

"gur kai sabad marai man maaray ha-umai jaa-ay samaa-i-aa." SGGS Ang 1068-8

Balbir Singh

By saying that shabad may die one day, youre saying that God may die one day.

Fateh.

Dear all!

Quote From Papi Jee "balbir singh, you have too many questions. thats not good. try to calm your mind down with simran and sewa."

It seems that some persons are tired of Satsangs about the Guru. I hope they do not want to stop many others.

Quote from ms514 Jee "I think you better worry that you will die one day."

Only murderers think like that when they want to become picaach, prayt, bhoot or their relative?

Quote from Narinder Singh Jee "By saying that shabad may die one day, youre saying that God may die one day."

No. This is your interpretation.

Gurbaanee says "sabad marai tis sadaa anand." SGGS Ang 364-7

When Shabad dies, in him is always happiness.

When somebody dies through Shabad how can he live all the time with happiness. Shabad also does not mean ego.

Perhaps the translators have understood it otherwise.

Psst...hey...Balbir...everyone dies...thought it was kind of a known fact. Too bad you took the law of the Almighty as a threat.

"Shabad marai tis sadaa anand"

Wrongly translated AGAIN. It means that those who kill their ego with the Shabad are forever in bliss.

Seriously, learn basic Punjabi... :TH:

Dear all and ms514 Jee!

Quote "Psst...hey...Balbir...everyone dies...thought it was kind of a known fact. Too bad you took the law of the Almighty as a threat."

That is right. The law of the Almighty is for everybody. Nevertheless, the murderer thinks of the other's death. Killing others in thoughts brings the same results.

Quote "'Shabad marai tis sadaa anand'

Word 'Sabadi' occurs more than nine hundred times in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee. Not even once it says 'through the Shabad' or ego.

The guru does not talk meanings. The guru talks Truth.

Quote "Seriously, learn basic Punjabi..."

One should learn Punjabi from your Baabaas, No Thanks.

Better learn Gurmukhee to become a true Sikh and merge in God.
