:T: aint colorin ur eye is sthin like colorin ur hair? i kinda think its da same.. well waering contacts is okay but waering da ones with color.. nahhhh .... B)

erm No cause colouring ur hair is COLOURING UR HAIR

lenses are jus plastic thingy u put in ur eyes

which u can remove at anytime

u've not really made n e cahnge

isn't it like wearing Nike clothes instead of Kurtha Bhajama tongue.gif ?

jus for the skae of fasion

but u can chang eback to normal n e time

but with coloring hair

u dont decide when to get it fade

and hair dye acctually maeks ur hair more "unhealthy" :)

Also No i dont think it increases the risk for becomming Gay :T: ohmy.gif lol

I USED to wear lenses, just because of fashion and stuff but stopped because its sooooooo annoying to put it in and stuff

But I'm as st8 as u can get ohmy.gifgrin.gificon_lol.gif

dont like the colour they were born with.....this doesnt imply theres something wrong with their orientation??????

WEll its not their chioce

If God made a decition who are we to change it?

But then again ..wearing "temporary-contacts" is nothing wrong

but if u OPERATE ur eyes and get the eye color changed thats WRONG ohmy.gif

This reminds me of My "Nanni" (Gran Ma)'s one eye is green the other ones is Brown tongue.gif

this is because when her eyes were operated (for her eye sight) they had to put in lenses (for her sight not For fashion icon_lol.gif lol) they (doctros in India) put one green and one brown

and now she's stuck with one green eye and one Brown

Why change your own original eye colour that Waheguru gave you? The wearing of coloured and tinted contact lenses are seen as fashionable nowadays, which is the reason why so many people wear them. Another form of maya...

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

I really dont think Waheguru Ji has time to punish people for wearing coloured contact lenses as there are more important issues. (Just joking about the 'time' thing as Waheguru is timeless himself but my point is wearing coloured contacts is nothing big).

u wat?! ohmy.gif Waheguru is AKAL PURKH! TIMELESS. Time is just a worldy thing

I'm with gurupanth; changing your eye color is like you're being ashamed of your heritage, because i've never seen an indian with blue or green eyes.

Believe it or not

why cant u get clear colour or glasses? Why you need to get coloured? Because you want to show off, in most cases. If you cant colour your hair or anything else on your body, can we really change the colour of our eyes?

Why do we have to change the natural beautiful colour of our eyes given to us by god just for fashion and to show something youre not. If its medical, get glasses or clear contacts.

I erpsonaöly think tis a bad example to compare with hair...

cause if u color ur hair

u dont have control of it

while contacts are more like Nike de Kapre....instead of kortah Bhajama :T:

ur not really changing ur color...ur jus putting a platic thingy on ur eye rolleyes.gif

and u are able to take it off jstu like clothes, and UNLIKE coloring hair :T:

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
