"haha" are you a complete <banned word filter activated>? What does being "akj" have to do with not reading bani at certain times? Congratulations for making a ridiculously stupid statement - good thing you didn't put your real name or you would have looked very silly.

now the morning thing is that Asa is a morning raag and thus its effect of bringing out hope is best achieved in the morning..but you can listen to it any time..

listen to asa di vaar whenever you want to, day, night, afternoon whateva.....sikhs rip on muslims for facing mecca to pray yet sikhs have times when only certain baani can be listened to, come on. we all talk about guru nanak dev ji making mecca move in all directions to prove god is everywhere but now we have sikhs saying this is the wrong time to listen to this baani...

personally i had this engrained into my brain as well....i thought that it was 'wrong' to listen to asa di waar after a certain time but now i'm like man that is so ritualistic....

i think the reason baanis are recited at certain times is to have a rehit which is a discipline. it keeps things in order....every sant-sipahi needs great discipline as all good soldiers are disciplined. so the whole concept of doing baani at certain times is not a bad idea but if someone wants to lietn to a baani at another time it shouldn't be like guru sahib's wrath coming down on a person and hell fire and brim stone like some people make it out to be....
